Susan Lucci, born in New York on December 23, 1946, is an American actress, author, host, heart health activist and entrepreneur. She has a Bachelor’s degree in drama from Marymount College, Tarrytown. Susan’s best known for her longtime role as Erica Kane on the ABC daytime drama, ‘All My Children.’ Susan reprised the iconic role from 1970 to 2011. She has 19 Daytime Emmy nominations and one win — Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for ‘All My Children’ in 1999. Susan has also starred in numerous made-for-TV movies, and has guest starred on shows, including ‘Saturday Night Live’ and ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ and she starred in the Lifetime television series ‘Devious Maids.’ In 2005, Susan received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame the following year. In September 1969, Susan married Helmut Huber. They have two children together, actress Liza Huber and a son, Andreas Huber. In October 2018, Susan underwent heart surgery, in which doctors inserted two stents into her arteries to increase blood flow back to her heart. Following her near-fatal heart condition, Susan began advocacy for heart health.
