Kim, who’s expecting a little brother for North West, was photographed running errands on Sunday, July 26 in L.A. rocking a tight, white bump-baring ensemble which was, of course, paired with some rather strappy (and seemingly restrictive) shoes. If she can’t part ways with her precious pumps, what can she do to reduce swelling? Here, an expert explains.

“I recommend ice baths during the day and evening and wearing a small 1-2 inch wide heeled shoe as these reduce the stress and strain in the foot, ankle, lower leg, knee, hip and back,” Dr. Positano tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

In addition, Dr. Positano (who serves as the Director of Non-Surgical Foot and Ankle Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC) says that if Kim doesn’t ditch her Louboutins soon, she could experience more “discomfort.”

“Shoes tend to become a problem as well as the foot naturally expands in size during the first trimester of pregnancy,” he adds. “This factor coupled with increased swelling from water weight gain can lead to extreme foot and ankle discomfort especially when wearing shoes that might not be the correct size”.
