The football player, 28, shared his truth in a new Instagram video on June 21, explaining that he has “been meaning to do this for a while now” and “finally [feels] comfortable getting it off my chest.” In the post, Carl also thanked the NFL and fellow athletes for their support and announced a $100,000 donation to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention efforts among the LGBTQ+ community.
