Nelly is best known as a rapper from St. Louis, Missouri. He first started his music career with the hip hop group The Lunatics in 1993 and was signed to Universal Records in 1999. He went on to release his first solo album, ‘Country Grammar’, along with the first single ‘Ride Wit Me’ in 2000. The album was a major success and even reached number one on the Billboard 200.
He followed his debut up with his second album ‘Nellyville’ in 2002. It included some number one hit songs like ‘Hot in Herre’ and ‘Dilemma’ which featured Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child.
Nelly went on to release more albums throughout the years and won many awards, including Grammy Awards, for his work.
