Stefanie Sherk attends the ‘The Bridge’ TV series premiere in Los Angeles, on July 8, 2013, as the FX show about law enforcement along the U.S. Mexico border starred her husband Demian Bichir. She was found on April 12, 2019 at the bottom of her family home swimming pool after weighting herself down in an attempt to drown herself. Demian came home from grocery shopping to find her at the bottom of the pool. Paramedics were able to resuscitate her and rushed her to a local hospital. She ultimately died on April 20 and her cause of death was listed as anoxic encephalopathy, where her brain tissue lost function as a result of being deprived of oxygen. Her death was ruled a suicide by the LA County Coroner on April 25. Stefanie was born in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, Canada, and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an honors bachelor’s degree in history. She went on to work as an actress and model She met Demian in 2010 and they began dating that year. Stefanie and Demian mixed business with pleasure when they starred together in 2016’s Un Cuento de Circo & A Love Song, written and directed by Demian.
