Kurt Metzger (born August 15, 1977) is an American comedian. His first performances were in New Jersey, although he mainly performed in the Philadelphia area early in his stand-up career. He appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2011 and began to gain fame. That same year, Comedy Central Records released an hour-long recording of one of Kurt’s performances. In 2014, Kurt’s Comedy Central special Kurt Metzger: White Precious was released. Kurt was recently under fire when his comments during a stand-up were characterized as “victim-shaming” and his stance on rape. He currently hosts the “Race Wars” podcast with Sherrod Small.

Kurt was raised a Jehovah’s Witness and became an ordained minister when he was 17. He left the religion around the age of 31, when he started doing stand up.
