Bio:
Katherine McNamara (born November 22, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American actress. As a child, Katherine was an advanced student in certain subjects, resulting in her receiving her high school diploma at age 14. At age 17, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University. However, the entertainment world was calling. She began her acting career on Broadway before breaking into television, guest starring roles on 30 Rock and Drop Dead Diva. Following these roles, her career has taken off, leading her to starring roles in feature films in the Maze Runner franchise (alongside Dylan O’Brien) and New Years Eve (alongside Zac Efron, Lea Michele, Ashton Kutcher, and countless other celebrities.) She also appears in the MTV series Happyland as Harper Monroe, and Kat in ABCFamily’s The Fosters. In 2015, it was announced that Kat will be playing Clary Fray in the television show Shadowhunters, which is an adaption of the popular book series Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.
