Didi Conn (born Edith Bernstein in Brooklyn, New York on July 13, 1951) is an American film, stage and television actress. Didi started her film career in the 1960s. However, it wasn’t until the 70s that she landed noteworthy roles. Her first major film was You Light Up My Life (1977) where she played Laurie Robinson. Her claim to fame however, was starring alongside Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta in the 1978 mega-hit, Grease. Didi played the role of Frenchy and later revised her role for the 1982 sequel, Grease 2. After Grease, she went on to star in the television series Benson from 1981 to 1985 where she played Denise Stevens Downey. Didi also played Stacy Jones in the TV series, Shining Time Station, for six years starting in 1989. Since then she’s made appearances on shows such as Law & Order SVU and Transparent. In 2013, she starred as Pearl in the play A Heap of Livin’ at The Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles. Didi also has a trademark speaking voice that makes her easily recognizable.
