Alexandra Daddario (born Alexandra Anne Daddario in New York, New York on March 16,1986) is an American actress. Born and raised in New York City, Alexandra attended Brearley School and the Professional Children’s School while growing up. She realized that she wanted to be an actress at the age of 11 and studied acting while attending the Marymount Manhattan College. Alexandra booked her first acting role at age 16 on the soap All My Children. After filming several guest spots on local New York shows like Law & Order, Alexandra’s big break finally came in 2010 when she was cast as the female lead in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. She followed up with starring roles in Hall Pass, Texas Chainsaw 3D, and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. In 2012, Alexandra starred in the hit music video for “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons. She gained an independent following for starring in the zombie comedy movie, Burying The Ex. Alexandra became a household name in 2014 when she starred in a four-episode arc in the first season of True Detective. The next year, she landed the lead role in the earthquake film, San Andreas, starring opposite Dwayne Johnson.
